Special Needs Project

Established in September 2001, following an extensive special needs childcare audit carried out during the summer period.  This project is based upon several principles according to the needs which were identified.

• Support - A dedicated member of staff to assist groups in becoming more inclusive
• Training - Offering a comprehensive programme of courses geared to inclusion
• Equipment - Providing access to inclusive play equipment.
• Grants scheme - To subsidise staffing costs to enable development of special needs practices
