How to donate discarded items

What does your Company throw away?

Every day firms will discard waste products which are too good to throw away!

Much of this is collected and may be put into landfill sites, incinerated or recycled - normally at a cost to the company, the environment or both.

There is an alternative

The Scrapstore of the Milton Keynes Play Association will collect suitable scrap items, FREE OF CHARGE, for re-use by its member groups for arts and crafts, design and technology projects and creative play.

Scrapstore needs clean, safe, non-toxic materials.  your surplus and waste products could provide a valuable source of entertainment and stimulation for young people - and at no cost to you!

Many of our members say they could not operate as they do with out the services of Scrapstore.

Numerous firms already contribute to the Scrapstore.  YOU could be supporting children and community groups locally by donating usable surpluses.

Milton Keynes Play Resource Unit aims to:

• Provide resources to community groups by re-using waste materials from businesses
• Promote links between the business sector and the community
• Educate and encourage industry to consider all respects of waste disposal
• Reduce landfill and pollution
• Provide a valuable service to children and the community of Milton Keynes and surrounding areas
